You have touched an important point yes. In the beginning I gave up on these patterns quite a few times to be honest for this very reason.
As you also correctly state, it does become a LOT easier after practice. I did however also look for a software solution to this problem and found the ENSIGN software package had a Pesevento "tool" that did the job with absolute amazing results. The only trouble is the data feed, so I only demo'd it for a while.
This other place you have mentioned, it does sound familliar, but I am gonna check it out again just to be sure and get back to you ASAP.
