Well, the only real reason is the mechanics of it. I don’t know how I would go about doing so.
Would I take everyone’s money, out it into a pool account, and pay out as a percentage basis? I guess that would work, but I don’t know if I’d really trust anybody to do that. I mean, in doing so, I’d have full power to just drain their account and head to South America (and I
love Buenos Aires this time of year
). So that’s not much of a solution.
I suppose I could just tell people “I’ve made you 500 pips this month. Please send me a check for 20%” But I don’t think that would work either.
Really, I don’t have anything against a %-of-returns deal. I just haven’t really thought about how to work it. Right now, I just do the signals. It’s easy for them, and certainly easy for me. I get paid reliably, they get the signals, and everybody’s happy.
But if someone out there has a viable way for me to do a %-of-returns deal, I’d be glad to look into it. Heck, pitch me a good method, and I’ll
pay you for it!
