It remembers me the discussion there was 20 years ago about chess. People said that it would be impossible for a computer to beat the world champion. They were playing so badly at that time. Now that the world champion has been beaten by a computer people have change their mind.

If you read the book "The New Market Wizards" you will see that many top traders uses mechanical systems either 100% of the time or 95% of the time leaving some discretion in exceptional situations.
