the only thing divergence in macd shows is that the gap between two moving averages is less than it was last time it was crossed this way.

indicators are NOT predictive tools - they are useful, but only as a discipline tool - don't look for an indicator to predict direction and price is the one predicting the direction of the macd not the other way around
