That opinion is one shared universally by people sitting in warm homes, with a refrgerator full of food, driving to work in their big cars, and guzzling energy without a care in the world ignorant of the fact that energy sources are depleting fast. The US, albeit the biggest energy guzzlers, has the foresight to recognise the problem and do something practical about it by securing oil supplies in Iraq. I wonder how distasteful some people would find the war if the petrol pumps ran dry, there was no food in the supermarket, and they had to find wood to burn to keep warm, how many objections would there be then I wonder!

Ah, I feel so much better for that.....

Well yes well all know the above to be the truth unless you are "pea-brained" and gullible - only thing is the US is still trying to convince the world and its own public that this is the war against terror - rather than a war against "dwindling oil supplies and a hostile Arab nation with oil, which can screw us if they want by closing the tap"

That doesn't mean I don't think the Bush and his lapdog Blair are scum of the earth with blood on their hands for the sake of controlling oil.

Can one trust them after this campaign of lies and deceit?

I think alternative sources of energy can be harnessed (at a cost) - although the big companries are putting the screws (read: big paydays) on govt. to act - and act they have.

Iran/Syria watch out - Bush has you lined up in the cross-hairs - although maybe Israel will do the dirty work this time.
