Can one trust them after this campaign of lies and deceit?
I think alternative sources of energy can be harnessed (at a cost) - although the big companries are putting the screws (read: big paydays) on govt. to act - and act they have.
Iran/Syria watch out - Bush has you lined up in the cross-hairs - although maybe Israel will do the dirty work this time.

Could anyone trust them
before the 'campaign of lies and deceipt'? They're politicians, politicians tell lies to get votes, no surprises there huh! Sure there are alternative energy sources if you don't mind the cost of goods and fuel doubling, but that's not a vote puller and anyway how many people value a clear conscience that much? While people can blame Bush and Blair for unjustly going to war and protest at how awful it all is they can sleep soundly in their warm beds because their hands are blood-free and after all there 'really is nothing they can do about it'. And despite all the lies and deceipt and war and killing who do they go and vote for? You got it!
Bush is politically a very astute man, he satisfied the US public's need for revenge after 9/11 and secured oil in Iraq, two birds with one stone and he stays in office, they love the guy! Personally I wouldn't pee on either of them if they were on fire but until a worthy opponent takes up the challenge there's only one choice, spoil my vote.
People are selfish, that's just the way it is.
