It is about position sizing, and more specifically, it's not the pips that are important per day, but the % you make per day.

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought he meant as well, however due to the specific wording "Sometimes I am at-50 pips for the day, but I have still made a profit." , I am led to believe that he may mean something else.
Just very curious about his statement.
