The last I heard was that they only charge you $500 if you trade with your own broker. If you open account through them with FXCM, you do not pay anything, plus you get tons of research info.

Re: Any Place To Fx Trading In New York ?

Research from different banks and few market overview letters. They do not have any historical data. Also, when I was there last time, there was not anyone using MT4. Most people used fxtrek. I think they still have free seminars every Tuesday evening, you can check it out if you want.

If someone has a mini-account and manages their own account, they are a currency trader. What precisely are you bringing to the table?

Re: Any Place To Fx Trading In New York ?

Hi Cicero,

What value do you bring then? If someone can trade successfully they do not need you because then a good stake can be built through compounding. $500 mini account will not prove anything, just like demo. They are too small for a lot of people and will not trigger any emotions. Now if you put 100K in the account and give someone 50:1 leverage, 9 of 10 will not be able to perform same as demo. So, once again can you please elaborate on what you offer.

Regards,
redduke

Redduke,

“If someone can trade successfully they do not need you…” but we are not looking for losers.fficeffice" />>>

”$500 mini account will not prove anything…” maybe for you but not for us.>>

Leverage for mini 200:1>>

“what you offer”…job and our client’s accounts money.

Re: Any Place To Fx Trading In New York ?

Are there many traders in NY looking for an office to trade in? I have been looking for space myself and have been coming up empty. I'm even thinking of renting space myself and seeing if there are any traders looking for desk space.

I was at globalfx, briefly, but they were too shifty for my comfort. Kept wanting my private info when I was trading my own funds and even wanted to attach my personal FXCM account (not opened thru him) to his IB so that he could get the pips. Real sleazy. I have noticed that they have since de-registered with the NFA. Don't know if they are still in business. Don't care. If he ain't, the space has potential.

I'm also getting tired of working from home and don't really want to go the office suite route as a) $1600 for a 10x10 is expensive and b) you learn from each other if you're across from each other, not locked in your private office.

I'd love to know if there are at least a few guys looking for an office environment and be willing to rent desk space to help defray the cost a little. We need a place like this in the city and I'm surprised that it is so hard to find. If there are others here, not just fx guys/gals, looking for desk space, drop me a line and let me know. If there are enough of us, I'd get this going tomorrow.

I'd be interested in space in NYC if available. Right now I work from home and am looking to get into office/trading room environment. Any progress on finding a place yet?
