| How do you put a value on a system? Hi everyone, If you had spent 3 years developing a very easy to use system with minimal indicators that makes over 1000 pips a month with ease, how do you put a value on it? I appreciate that 'value' is different to each and all, but from reading the comments on this site it's clear that many people are struggling with over complicated systems. Looking at peoples' screenshots its no wonder, too many indicators, too many conflicting signals, the only thing that leads to is indecision and that makes people trade on their instincts and not the facts before them. 'Live' trading is far more difficult than you think, believe me, i've been through every emotion and every level of self doubt and anxiety imaginable. However, I am the most stubborn of people (ask the wife!) and never gave up hope of finding the 'Holy Grail' of trading systems. I have just about reached the end of a very long journey (thru' hell) and I am considering selling a few copies to recover the investment of time, effort (and hair loss) that I have made along the way. If I take this route I would probably visit each trader and spend a day with them trading 'live' and not just produce an 'E' book. Any general thoughts would be appreciated, for instance, how many pips per month do most people achieve, and what percentage of traders see it through to a profitable living? | I put value on a system if I learned something from it. It doesn't mean that if I gained from the trading, that's the time that I only value the system. I also have to value the things that are not seen, that is the experience. |

| If it is any good, a bank will buy it!! The true value is you trading it yourself, if it is any good and you have faith in the system and understand money and risk management you may have a Golden Goose...?? Then that raises the question....???? Why would one sell The Golden Goose? |

| If youre REALLY serious about this, then you should make this a carreer and become a professional at it. This means that you start your own hedge fund and let the program manage your funds. Sure, you will have to take a few tests and learn A LOT about compliance, but I've done it and it's worth it. You could sell the code for a couple thousand and help no one, or you can manage a hedge fund for your friends & family, spread the risk and help other people become rich in the process. |

| Mate keep improving your system, it is much better to work for yourself. It will be tough, money could be an issue to keep your company up but one day once your names is heard by big rollers you might hit jackpot. Once some companies are interested in your system just sell 30% for 2 million lets say, automatically the 70% will become 2.5 million so you tell them since they already bought 30% for only 2 more million they can buy of your whole system. Once you sell it you can keep making other useful things and just keep selling. Its better to invent, invest a little and sell it, rather than kill yourself, and nerves trying to manage it. I know what I said is not easy to do, but just an idea mate. I wish you the best with your system, and hope everything works out for you. best regards.

| That is what I'm trying to do, but I cant be calm when somebody is posting everywhere I go, desperately trying to prove me wrong... :/ but your right Hale I gotta keep my cool, thats the path to victory. I'm truly sorry if I caused any problems..
