I made forex my own job ... and I live with it.

Trading for a small part and coding services (MT4 experts advisors, indicators, alerts ... etc) for the big part of my earnings.

I have learned some from books, webinars, etc., but I still haven't been consistently successful. With the market going all over the place, it seems that when I look at indicators that say one direction, the stock or currency goes the other direction.

along with managing accounts......FXPartners has paid me an obscene amount of money for me to teach thier students and have the rights to the trading styles I have developed. they exist to teach people to trade and they are extremely reasonable in thier pricing.....www.fxcourse.com to check them out....I promise you will learn how to trade........

Get an experienced FX trader to mentor you, everyone is pushing their own products, EW, FX MoneyMaps, I don't really think that's necessary. You end up with a pile of junk (books, cds, PDFs) that just clutters things up and represents little or no value in real live trading.

I do not trade full time.Forex is only another source of some income for me.

i could say that i'm trading for a living, since im a student. but tbh, my living is paid by my parents.

I really commend anyone that is doing it full time I believe if you re careful and use your calls and puts wisely you should do well.

Trading for a living is a little vague

I am currently a student and work a part time job and trade on the side =)
busy busy..

I use trading as a way to make extra money so when i finish school i wont have as big of a price tag on my years in bettering myself into a career that i want to do.

like a few other posters on here I don't want to stare at the computer all day for a living. but i do want to use forex as a tool to better my life by giving me some added income without having to work a lot more hours.

I start to make money when I only trade the higher timeframe...I thought I could conquer the lower timeframe but I failed

This is interesting, I have always wondered this myself when viewing these forums. I have been a professional derivatives trader for years, working for a prop shop in Chicago. I trade index options, but FX has always had a special allure - especially automated and system trading.

I hope one day soon I can sever ties with the realities of a 9-5 job and enjoy the freedom that trading on my own can afford. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone here who has done it successfully can PM me with some personalized advice. I welcome all shared experience.
