Re: Will banks pay a commision for large client referrals?

I'm just talking about referring a larger client.

I did the research and found what I think is the best forex house for a client.

Just wondering,

I wont ask them any way...

Just the one off odd thought...

I wont sell off a client to the wrong house for his needs.

any one knows how much you get paid from people like fxcm when you sponser a client. Is it a one time fee or a continuing comission?

All depends really. What type of client? What do you define as a larger client? What do you define as 'best' bank? Do you understand everything that goes into this sort of a decision? Do you think this mystery client is going to trade exclusively with one bank when prices are so commoditised? Is a single bank relationship even the best thing for their needs (as opposed to, say currenex / EBS prime / a semi pro ECN like Hotspot). Are they looking to trade options or just spot? Swaps? forward outrights? Are they speculating or hedging?

In short, do you really know what you're talking about?

I have never heard of a bank paying some random person for a referral, but then I have never heard of anyone who isn't already a market professional just waltzing up and handing some huge client to a bank gift wrapped. Who knows, it could happen.

Thee are of course all sorts of compliance / KYC type issues with this sort of thing as well. So I don't see it happening really.

Some will give you a bonus if you refer a client.

Not unless you’re registered with the CFTC/NFA as a IB “introducing broker “ and know the right channels to refer clients to otherwise you won’t get a dime of your client’s dealings, the bank or brokers firm will tell you otherwise only grab/steal your client , when it’s time for your fee to be collected you won’t hear a word from ether party.. fficeffice" />>>

>>

At one time anyone was able to refer clients to a given bank or brokerage firms but things are changing and may I add for the best now it’s almost imposable to get fees from banks or brokers without being registered>>
