I think this feature has been superceeded. There are stable platforms fot the pdas and smartphones nowadays. Metatrader is an example.

Most of the pda applications are intended for more advanced functionality. Things like active charting and trading. I like the speed and ease of use of http://rates.fxcm.com if you just want a quick update without loading an application and logging in.

Does MetaTrader offer a quick web-based version like this or are there other similar sites like this out there to do a quick check on levels?

As far as I know there isnt a web interface for metatrader.
