| Trade Station vs MultiChart Pro Hi All I am new at this forum want to ask about two trading platforms for automated trading i would like to implement: trade station (www.tradestation.com) Multichart pro (www.tssupport.com). Both of them use EasyLanguage actually Multichart pro can easily import programs developped in Trade Station. But my question is which is better ? Which one has a better calculation power ? Do they have differences between available calculating libraries ? Do they have different features inconveniences or advantages ?? Although I am trading since 9 years ago I am just a beginer in Automated trading platforms. I have heard about Meta4 but i have to chose between Trade Station Multichart. Multichart seems to be a platform borned improvements done in Trade Station platform by a separate company but really dont know exactly. Can anybody help me with this ?? By the way congratulations for this forum ! Regards YoungTrader |

| Re: Trade Station vs MultiChart Pro Hi, I used to write code for Tradestation, and found it to be a fantastic platform (though my learning curve often left me frustrated). I've looked at MultiCharts and MCFX (their FX platform). I have a feeling that you'll find the same indicators as in TS. You can also create your own. Another part of the question is, what brokers do these platforms work with? As far as I know, TradeStation works only with TradeStation Securities, which for forex uses GAIN capital I believe. MultiCharts seems to work with other brokers. (There used to be a TradeStation 2000i but perhaps that has evolved into Multicharts) Tradestation had a great user's forum (open only to subscriberes). Multicharts seems to have a healthy forum as well. As for calculations, I don't know. When I was doing Tradestation code there was a push from users to go to 64 bit. (not sure if they've done this). I'm not a hardware expert but I understand that if your platform can take advanatage of 64 bit procession, your calculation time will be cut substantially. Hope this info wasn't too generic!
