Did I just get lucky with my EA purchase?

I use the Avonko EA system

Recently I've been joining a bunch of forums to learn more about the strategies and systems everyone else is using, and I'm blown away. Everyone seems to be pulling their hair trying to find something that works. Stupid question, but am I missing something? Did I get lucky with my EA purchase?

Seems like everyone is out there trying to re-invent the wheel, but simple systems like Avonko do better at picking out a single inefficiency and exploiting it.

I thought that was the whole point? But all the forums seem to be venting grounds for frustrated traders. Jeez ,just use a system! I trade while I sleep and every morning is like Christmas morning when I wake up to look at my MT4 platform and check my balance.

Re: Did I just get lucky with my EA purchase?

But I have been enticed by some others at forexfactory who have divulged they are making 200-350 pips daily trading actively. That is a LOT of money and I would love to reach that point with active discretionary trading (or a system if possible)

If any of you have any other good systems please let me know

Keep an eye out for breakout systems. They are often the easiest to learn at first and work very well in trending markets.

good point, interesting you say that -

the Avonko system I have seems to be just that, picking breakouts from a trend level or channel - and that's it

seems to work well enough for me, considering I don't need to tend to the computer to trade all day.

Re: Did I just get lucky with my EA purchase?

I have been using Avonko EA on real money now for some time and it has been working well for me thus far.

I am setting up a demo account on a separate computer and testing a portfolio of 23 EAs that were professionally coded. If they work well I will be sharing them here with you all for free.

Unfortunately, as per the Avonko end user license agreement, I can not give it away for free here.
