USD / CDN over the next few weeks ?

I just have a personal question about 1 trade that I am going to do soon...

I have about $8,500 USD that I would like to transfer to CDN within the next few weeks for the best exchange possible.

I can wait a little while.. like maybe a few weeks.. but don't want to lose in the waiting.

What is the general feeling here about USD / CDN over the next weeks or month?

any predictions?

The USD could certainly strenghten to 1.25 as the US Fed pushes up interest rates and Canada stays on hold, but US gains beyond there will be tough

can this be somehow seen as being a trigger to strenthen the USD at all? or more likely the other way?

The budget factors are more likely to weaken the US dollar slightly.

Fortunately, the Bank of Canada issued a cautious statement on the economy yesterday.

I decided to do the exchange yesterday.

It's the best the dollar has been in awhile and with news like this:

It makes me a bit doubtful the USD will be going much higher for awhile..

I'll have more to exchange in a couple weeks.. hopefully it will have improved despite my predictions..
