Forum Time Stamp

Dear MoneyTec Admin,
I noticed that moneytec forum used to give me accurate time stamp as I am in EST zone, or NY time zone.
But today I noticed that time stamp on my posts is 1 hour ahead of NY or EST time.
We have changed our clocks 1 hour back for DAY LIGHT SAVINGS. that might be the reason.
Now my question is how to fix it either in my control panel. or may be the admin has to fix it for the whole forum. is this possible to fix it and match it with EST or NY time zone? please.
example:
at this moment when i am writing this post it is 2:34 AM.
and my post time will show a time of 3:34 AM.

thank you

Re: Forum Time Stamp

unfortunately for you (and fortunately for us) the world does not revolve around new york

i think you will find it uses your own pc clock - because for me in the UK it says you wrote it at 07:34 - so adjust your pc clock and all will be ok

Re: Forum Time Stamp

nope looks like it did not work.
my clock shows 3:00 PM and forum's clock shows 17:00 which is 5:00 PM.
There must be some way to fix it. Or may be we do not have much of a choice here. Well its a free forum with lots of nice people. I am not complaining I was just surprized to see it differ because it was good until DAY LIGHT SAVINGS.
Thanks again soul trader.

Re: Forum Time Stamp

found it - go into user CP (top left) then edit options and look down the page - there is your time zone - make sure you have dst checked

Re: Forum Time Stamp

Soul Trader, thank you again.
I had gone through these options before and everything looked good to me.
Anyway, my dst option was always on.
I changed it to automatic dst.
okay lets see what happens now.
its 12:35 AM at my clock, lets see how it looks in the forum.
