System Drawdown

In an event of a system drawdown, is it best to follow every signal generated by your system or skip on discretion risking not catching the eventual big move?

Hello All,

I am very surprized that only 14% of the voters chose a mentor. That is very strange to me. I was an Engineer for years and was mentored and I mentored many people, I find this to be the best way to learn anything, why would you want to spend two years trying to develop a plan when you can work with someone who already has one.
Many people do not like to teach or do not have the patience to do so, if you do it is very rewarding.

CHeers to all,

Hi email
I think the answer might lie in the fact that there aren't many 'mentors ' available\willing. And the logistics can be a problem. I would love to have a mentor but have to settle for hanging out at MoneyTec!

I voted Learn from a Mentor. Ask yourself how much money the market has taken off you before (if you ever will) manage to get a reliable profitable trading system up and running.

The trouble that I have is finding a decent mentor system that isn't a rip off, as I have bought several so called 'system gurus' that only seem to work in times of trend (what doesn't).

I am working on my own at the moment but I have a problem with defining when I am not in a trend and the points I won in the trend, get taken back!

Hi folks,

Re "Mentors"

I dont know about the rest of the membership on these pages but I see and use all posters as my "mentor". I dont learn from every one but I am learning from many who post here. It's true that it's not quite the same as someone sitting alongside, but it's almost as good.

So, to my mind the ideal mentor is already available to all of us who want to learn &/or expand etc.

Good trading to all......................

I am totally newb to this stuff, but I do have extra money I'd like to get a ROI on.

Is it a very bad idea to follow the advice from a Trader? (forextradingsignals.com to be precise)

There track record looks good, but I don't want to be a total sucker either. What are your thoughts?
