Re: The Best Way on Forex

BoraPhoenix has a good point. I'm sure everybody has noticed that once a person has learned something or gotten used to a certain method, change can be very difficult. Especially if they learned it from someone they look up to who is successful like a mentor. Often times, we have trouble going against those influences even if we know for sure we're right in certain situations. Having an open mind, the ability to adapt and overcome new conditions is a very important to a trader. I think a mentor is important in learning the systems and nuances of the market, but the confidence in one's own ability can only be learned by the individual thru experience, and not a mentor...

Re: The Best Way on Forex

The longer I trade, the more I realize there is no shortcut to trading well...it takes time (suffering and thinking) in front of charts, placing orders, to get it right.

Re: The Best Way on Forex

Shaklfree hit it right on the head. There are no shortcuts. Be prepared to spend years learning and being frustrated. And learn to loooooooove charts. I'm obsessed with charts. I can stare at them for hours at a time. My wife thinks I'm a lunatic.

Anyway, if this were easy, we'd all have 100 ft yachts and a private jet.

Learning to trade forex

I've been trading part time for a year now...and am just now beginning to get comfortable with trading.....well not totally. AFter much study and reading and staring at charts, I have developed my own strategy, which seems to be working, at least initially....time will tell.

If I had a penny for every good trade that I've missed I'd have way more money than whats in my trading account.

The way to become a profitable trader?

Read Books on trading.......some are recommended on Moneytec
Read articles on the internet............many abound
Get familiar with forex websites..........there are lots
Open a Demo Account with a broker............and get the feel of trading
Don't accept anybody else's advice or signals at face value........always check it out with what you know already and with other sources of information.
Look at charts and study price action and candlesticks
Get to know Technical Analysis and indicators
Get to know fundamentals

Well that should be a good start anyway,,,,,

Cheers
