Breakout trading

Hi,

I've found (in my very little personal experience ) that the breakout tradind (buying above and selling bellow a consolidation zone) it's among the highest r:r ratio. Also, it's been the most succefull approach I've used till now.

I wonder if someone is a seasoned trader in this strategy and I'd like to know which timeframes you use, the success achieved with this strategy, the ins and outs and whatever you find important to share.

Thanks!

Still,
TryingHard

Re: Breakout trading

Right now, I have 2 opened orders for USDCHF:

* buy limit 1.2622 sl 1.2613
* sell limit 1.2587 sl 1.2596

Both orders where based on the 15min chart. I use to set 5-15 pips out of price action.

Sometimes I'm stoped too, before the price could has a chance to make me some profit. To prevent surprises, I use to follow the price very close changing sl each pip.
