Do you earn 300 pips in 1 month?

People who talk about currency trading as if it is heart surgery are normally losers. Don't listen to detractors. Forget the people why say there is no straight answer, etc. Of course there is. Either you can make 300 pips or you can't. No need to complicate things. That is why most people cannot make money trading: they complicate things.

Can anybody make 300 pips a month? Obviously not. But it is more than doable. If you find a system that works and stick to it, you will make money trading currencies. About 18 months ago, I knew nothing about trading. I still don't know how trade in the normal way. All the talk about lots and contracts is Latin to me. I just spread bet. The point I am trying to make is that if you have a system that works and follow it with rigid discipline, you are guaranteed to win over the long term without knowing much. It is as simple as that.

If people start talking to you about how hard it all is, just ignore them because they don't know what they are talking about. All the best to you.

And that post, IMHO, is probably the absolute best advice you're going to get out of the whole thread. I just wish I'd had somebody to say all that to me about 3 years ago.

Lets qualify the original question, "who makes 300 pips per month?".

Who makes 300 pips per month PER CURRENCY PAIR?

For example: If someone trades 6 pairs per month, all they need is 50 pips per pair to make 300 in one month. That is not hard. Making 300 pips on one pair per month would be more difficult.
Anybody do this?

For the whole of the last year (actually a little longer) I have been making between 500 and 1000 pips per month. The overwhelming majority of it is derived from 2 sources only: by trading 1-2-3- formations and Ross Hooks on currency charts and by blindly following a signalling service. I have also made "small change" by playing about with a huge variety of other techniques of different degrees of simplicity/complication, all of them involving indicators and none of them really convincingly profitable at all.

Hi JanaSergeevna; You say you blindly follow a signal service, I'm currently searching one ( trustworhty and profitable ) which one are you following?

I'm so sorry, Tristan; they are not accepting more new clients now, simply fulfilling their obligations to existing ones. Signal-selling is far from being their main business and I don't know how long they will continue supplying signals to people because they are so successful trading that honestly they do not really need the additional income. I think perhaps this is not so uncommon and that if people really depend on the income produced by selling the signals, they are maybe not trading so successfully themselves? But with the service I use, this was certainly not an issue anyway, but as people say nothing lasts forever
