Easy MT4 Question ? I've just started using MT4 and have got everything set up just as I like it, however the one thing I can't seem to be able to do is synchronise the appropriate tick chart to appear with a given chart. If I select the tick chart for USD/JPY and then click on the tab for my GBP/USD chart - I still see the USD/JPY tick chart rather than the GBP/USD one as I would have expected. I'm sure it's one of those obvious things which I'll kick myself when one of you good folks points me to a solution. Last edited by overgrowth; 08-14-05 at 09:21 AM.

Re: Easy MT4 Question ? Oliebol - yes I can do that though it's very cumbersome, which is surprising coming from a system which is so excellent in numerous other areas. What I want to be able to do is simply click on a tab for the GBP/USD chart or the EUR/USD chart etc. and have the appropriate tick chart for the main chart I've just selected appear automatically. There must be a way of linking the correct tick chart window to the chart window.

Re: Easy MT4 Question ? I'm surprised nobody else has noticed this problem in MT4. I find tick charts handy to pinpoint entry/exits when day trading and to get an instant "feel" for price movement. I'm constantly moving between the charts of the 4 main currency pairs in various timescales, however as soon as I move from one pair to another - (which I do quite often - e.g. if $ looks strong for USD/CHF and USD/JPY then I'll flip between charts to see if the same pattern is emerging in GBP/USD and EUR/USD) the tick chart doesn't follow my movements - I realise that it's in a separate window and that's why there's no automatic link, though there must be some way to connect the two windows ?
