FOREX cost of trading.

A Forex trade has about 4-5 pip spread, this equates to $40-$50 USD ! Compare that to trading the S&P E-Mini with interactive brokers, where the commission and spread combined is about $17 .... S&P trades either side of the spread so oten that the spread is really negligible, the commission is only $4.80 round-turn..

Why is Forex so expensive to trade?

If you trade 5 contracts, the FOREX cost is more than $200 !
Compare that to S&P, $25

What part of this math makes it attractive to trade FOREX?
