FX Transactions size

Hi everyone, I need info on the depth of the market.

I'd like to have an idea of the average size of a single transaction in the interbank market on the majors. Also, what is considered a BIG size by the community standard? From how much would the market-maker need multiple transactions to fill an interest?

TIA.

Size counts

Average size deal you will find is 2-5 mio, thats Banks
calling each other.

EBS encourages transacts of 5mio+ for the majors.

Impossible to say what amount moves a market, lot has to do with timing and liquidity.

I've worked transacting very large oda's for Hedge funds and some of those oda's have had no effect on the market.

But thats the beauty of FX theres on open interest or Volume.

Good luck
Marty
