Re: Great technique for beginners...

i have yet to get my head around the cloud technique. It would appear that its a trending system and not a ranging system.

Thanks

Nice blog, I am thinking of doing something similar so that I can go back and see my mistakes - are those real or demo trades?

As to your question about the MA curling to the other direction when using KSRobot - Per Akash's procedure, the MA needs to be under the KS line in order to establish a long position and above the KS line for short. Also, the MA should not be too close to the KS line (too close in the expert is at least MAfilter pips away). So, when the expert detects a cross, it establishes whether its a potential long or short using the position of the MA line. The expert does not place an order until the MA line curles to the right direction (e.g. after the cross when the MA curls to the right direction a limit order is placed at the price of KS - not the current price...) so... at the time of placing the limit order the MA is curling to the right direction , at the time the order is executed it might not.

Infact, if the MA was not already in the right direction before crossing the KS line, it is very likely that when the position is established at the KS price it will not point to the right direction - and this is ok.

In order not to clutter this thread (and my inbox) with Expert stuff, I will open another thread "KS Expert".

HTH,

Re: Great technique for beginners...

FxQuest, I am sorry. I gave you my other blog. Those are some of both, demo and real. But the one in question was this one.

Let me know what you think about that one?

Thanks

Re: Great technique for beginners...

Hi Kingconnections,

This makes perfect sense:

1) The MA is ABOVE the KS line, so the only direction the system dictates is short.

2) As to why the MA is not curled and still the short position was opened: the MA of the last (current) bar is calculated in real time. So with the bar that penetrated the KS line, when it was at its low, the MA was in fact curled down and this is when the expert made the decision to try and sell at the KS price. When the price retracted the position was established but nobody told the price about our strategy and it continued going up

I hope this clarifies things,
fxquest.

Thanks fX, I would have avoided that trade like I said seeing that the ma was on an upward trend in general. Thanks for you help. That explains it!

Re: Great technique for beginners...

as a newbie to forex along with a lifestyle that does not allow me to spend along time in the search for trading successfully, i looked in the forums, where honest hardworkng individual traders communicated together, in order to find a good starting block from where i could begin.

i came across this thread and found it very interesting, and a delight to see, that akash would reveal a possible successfull way of trading, and also how all you guys took the time in investigating, testing, and applying other instruments in order to make it more of a profitable system. i hope the outcome is a true success.

could anybody tell me if, the system is completed, if not does it really work so far as all your posts have said. is there much more testing to be done.

thanks in advance

Hi. Saw your trades made with your "Dank" System . Care to share the strategy and the chart's set-up? Thanks.
