I'm still holding out hope for this expert because the back test results are so good (obviously past performance doesn't equate to future blah blah) but even still I believe this system/expert must swing into winning periods more than losing...

What I'd like to know is how people who are manually testing/trading this system are getting on, as it's a while since anyone posted any results...

If I could manually trade this system for a smaller portion of the day and make a respectable profit than the robot could trading the full period then I may just end up manually trading.

You are right. Trading during thinly traded periods is not very productive. Why don't you try to have the robot truned on during European and American sessions only?

also could be important to define a money management strategy with an sl and take profits. Or maybe compare both methods and see which one is safer, because in live time when we have a move , the ema follows the market , what is your opinion, anyone trading it manually?

how about using a stoch 5, 3,5 for helping in exit? Also look at cci 14 the cross of +100/-100 is a big help for exit.

MetaTrader 4 KS Robot - Latest news

The excellent profits you can get whilst back testing the KS Robot (all versions) is more to do with way MetaTrader 4 interpolates tick data during back testing (see http://www.strategybuilderfx.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15253&page=1 and http://www.metaquotes.net/experts/articles/tester_intro) than the success of the expert itself.

Recently I've not had any significant winning trades on my demo account, and will soon discontinue my 24x7 running of the expert so that I can get on and manual trade this strategy on a fresh demo account.

manual live backtest, i did only for cable

short 1.7482 at 8:30 am metatrader time used 2 lots +20 and the other at +10, it moved like 30 pips, then again another short right now at 13:00hrs short at 1.7470 i am +15 only moved sl to breakeven. I have a doubt, it seems we had two shorts in a row, but only the first one had the 20wma coming from above, so maybe i should not have taken the second one, any suggestions? Also it seems that as the candle is shaping the wma moves and bends with it a lot, but if we wait for the end of the candle then the move might have gone.
