Re: Great technique for beginners...

I've been using this in the last few weeks as a way to eliminate false signals as well as to confirm my conclsions, and both my forward and paper trading produced good results, however i haven't tested it using expert scripts. The setup is foliowing: besides kijun-sen you use EMA 5,13,30 and 62. If the cross between 13 and 30 happens on the "right" side of kijun-sen (if you go long then it should be above, for short bellow) you enter the trade immiediately; if 13 and 30 cross on the wrong side, you wait for EMA 5 to cross both the kijun-sen and the 62 and then enter the trade. If all conditions are not fulfilled, then the intended trade is cancelled. You exit the trade when 13 and 30 cross again or you spot MACD or Stoch divergence, double bottoms/tops, or 30M MACD turns on the opposite side. I've been using this on 30M for GBPUSD and each cross produced anywhere between 20-120 pips.

Hi InitialsBB....

What time frame are you having the most success on? Your system looks very interesting. Thanks for any advice.

GBPUSD on 30M
I forgot to add that when i see MACD or Stochastics divergence and price penetrates the Kijun-sen on the opposite side of the former trend i enter without waiting for EMAs cross

Kako,

What do you mean by "some custom indicators repair their old signals?"

Is there any particular reason that you're using the price crossing over the KS and not the cross of the KS and TS? I also find the Senkou spans useful as areas of support and resistance. Was not including them a result of backtesting or something else?
