low adx shows ranging mkt. also consider ALL indicators have LAG. nothing's perfect and 100%. u have to interpret every market condition/indicator urself.

thanks so much. if you don't mind, i have some more question with regards to the ADX...

in the chart (intellichart), i can see the DMI/ADX, and ADXR, but when i try each, i cannot come up with the kind of chart that u have shown. Yours shows only one line chart for ADX, mine shows 3 lines intertwined (colorful though). two lines for DMI -/+(14,14) and one for ADX. is there a way to just show the ADX? I'm sorry if this may already be a charting question, i appreciate any answer given.

Hi, click on the dmi + and - on the top where it says DMI+(14,14) <- click on that and pick delete do it for both.

I now have to read more about this ADX so i can understand it better.

FYI it's not intellichart which i use. the platform i use is Metatrader(metaquotes.net) and it's free. good charting imo with free data feed .

Thanks. I only use intelli trial for now (abt to expire though)... will go for the free one, metatrader, which i notice, is being used by a LOT!
