Re: How do brokers pay your leverage? How does it work?

Mick
Please accept my sincere apologies
The original question was how do the brokers find the money to pay for the leverage.
You answered that it was the 2 day rollover.

I have been trading for 4 years and had always thought that the 2 day rollover was just for the interest.
But you were right and I was off track. The 2 day settlement date allows the brokers to keep rolling the positions over and as such never having to come up with the leverage.

Good trading

Hi helgi, long time no hear, how's it going!

Great bit of analysis there Helgi, and yes I was short but @ 1.7499 at 8:08:56 GMT, just met target now @ 1.7407, I guess we were looking at the same levels, 4hr 50%, 161.8% extension lines up nicely with 50% @ 1.7407

Perfect! And some people say the market isn't predictable, lol

Cheers

....but you're absolutely right, it should have been 1.7510, though I make it 8am GMT not 8.45am EST

Re: How do brokers pay your leverage? How does it work?

Thanks for the clarification, i just missed it myself while i was looking at moneytec.
I am going better now that i have decided to only look at the GBP/USD. It makes things easier to monitor and catch.

Cheers

You need some extra monitors

Yup, I like Gbp/Usd as well, not just because it's my home currency but it's more often technically 'correct', plus it can move 50% more than say Eur/Usd at times.

That's me done for the week now, US durable goods tomorrow and I don't fancy the spikes! I'm off to play with the charts on my new trading platform

Have a good one...
