Smile How much you make per month

Hi,
I am newbie in forex and trading in demo. I am curious to know on an average how much % of profit you make per month. I request everyone to participate in this. The main reason i am starting this is people come to forex , with dreams of making millions in months. i hope this poll will give a clear picture of how much we can make on an average.

Actually, you forgot negative results in your poll....You have to know that 95% of forex traders lose money, whatever they will say in your poll...

Isn't this a bit like asking how long is a piece of string?

Even if the voters actually tell the truth, how will someone else's results determine what you're capable of losing......ooops, sorry, I mean winning

Re: How much you make per month

This is why most beginning traders fail. The question they should be asking is "What will I do to best preserve my invested capital?" Unfortunately, it takes most traders (including myself) at least one blown account before your mindset changes from that get-rich-quick vision.

thats true, for the time i am just focusing on players who makes profit. more importantly i want to know about its potential, i am now investing in some online programs making a 30-50% profit every month. I heard so much about forex as most of the programs i am investing claims they are doing forex trading to make profit. so i decided to study forex. and i started using a demo account. munching a bit on this industry. As it was a demo account i didn't do seriously on it. and i am planning to go live on next month. i wish to start with a big failure (though i hate failure) , i know then only i will get a desire to learn more on forex. But before i go live , i am curious to know about its potential other than hype- Market analysis before putting money here. if couple of people vote more than 100% , then i will go with it. i know my profit depends on how i play, whether its stocks, online or forex . i am not aiming a profit of 100% on the very next month i start trading. only aiming on it after one year but curious to know is it posible :d

Re: How much you make per month

Since you "wish to start as a big failure," why don't you just spend the money you would have blown on your account for a good mentor.

I don't see the logic behind that last though. Why would anyone WANT to lose money? Study hard now, because you're going to have to do it sooner or later. Why wait before you lose money to do what you acknowledge you'd have to do anyway? And trying to goal for 100% a month, whether you have one day or 10 years experience is setting yourself up for failure. If you're positive, and don't get to 100%, you fail. If you lose, (and lose big considering you'd be risking a lot per trade) which is almost a definite with shoddy money management, you again fail. Its a lose-lose situation.
