May I ask - how long do you plan to stay on Forex ?

thanks for changing, i didn't know how i can change t he poll option .

how long? after i start if i like it after 4 months of trading i will stick with it , else i will give money to some other brokers to trade for me

People DO make those numbers and it is a fact. The only thing is perhaps not always. Just because most people loose, doesn't mean that some no-lifes dont make a lot of money. It is certainly possible to make those numbers.


Remember it is theoretically possible to do that. Lets take GBP for example. Its range is often 150+ to 200+ pips. If you catch 100 pips on 1 lot, then you've made 1000$ dollars which is 10% off a 10,000$ account. If you were REALLY sure and used 10 lots, then you've made 100%... Or you could divide the lots between few currencies such as Cable and swissy.

Just because you cannot do it, it doesn't mean that OTHERS cannot do it.

Very often when a person says that "oh you can't do that" it often means that "I can't do that and I'd be jealous if you do that"...

lol, who are you trying to convince, me or yourself? Theoretically it's possible to do a lot of things, that's the attraction of trading FX, people look at a chart and see 150pip moves and multiply it by their overleveraged account and work out in a couple weeks they'll be millionaires.......in reality it never happens, they forget to look at the potential downside.

Its all about having a sustainable return rate. If you have two days where you make 50% and then you lose 50% the third day you actually dont have a good return at all. Those guys that made 600% in a week had UNSUSTAINABLE growth. View it this way if someone can make even a 100% in a month in a year thats a 409500% gain annualized. IT DOESNT HAPPEN! Shoot for sustainable growth. All one needs is 5%-10% returns a month which comes out to 80%-213% annualized. And that will put you in the top of the ladder. In this business there may be 10 one hit wonders out of 100 but there will only be 1 long time winner out of a 1000.
