The inclined channels – how to use them in trading?

Hello, dear traders!
I’ve got some difficulties with the inclined channels – could anyone help me with them, please?
I’m a beginner on Forex and there are lots of things for me to understand yet. I’ve studied at the courses in my dealing center, but I see that’s not enough. So I’m still learning to trade on a demo account.
I’ve read some “classical” books about trading, including J. Murphy and T. Demark. Now I’m trying to understand the use of inclined channels but the results are not too good yet. A question for example: T. Demark explains the use of inclined channels at the major timeframes from D1 and above, but what about the minor timeframes?

Hello, friend.
An important question about the channels, I think. The channels were difficult for me too but a time ago I’ve understood them, thanks to the following site http://www.masterforex-v.su/002_006.htm. In that Masterforex-V trading system channels are used at all timeframes from 1 minute- to weekly charts.

And what are the difficulties in using channels at different timeframes?

Trendlines and patterns at different timeframes may be in contradiction with each other. E.g. there may be a bullish weekly trend, but a bearish daily trend or there may be flat at H4 but trend on some minor timeframe and so on.

And how to combine the timeframes together?

Masterforex-v teaches to understand the price behavior at all timeframes together as there is no any “main” timeframe. For example, an intraday trader must analyze at least daily chart first and only then proceed to the minor timeframes - Н4, Н1 and below. Analyzing these timeframe together is useful to identify the intraday trend. The method of the analysis is shown in the Masterforex-V trading system, and needs some practice to use...

Hi, your conversation became very interesting to me. What connection between the main period and the inclined channel? And
how correctly to construct the inclined channel concerning the senior period?

Re: The inclined channels – how to use them in trading?

Look at the example of my trading, where at the bearish trend I’ve opened a long position after the breakout of the channel and the result was - loss.

That’s a common mistake. You should wait for the price to confirm the breakout with breaking of the new high after point 2.

I didn’t think that such confirmation is required…

It is also described in those Masterforex-V books and at his web site www.masterforex-v.su

According to the Masterforex-V trading system, the bearish session trend in your example was only a correction of the bullish trend at H1. The session trend continues until the true breakout of the trend channel. False breakout of the trend channel may result in flat.

In classical books about Forex the inclined channels are usually used only in trend. Now I see that’s not quite right.
