Interesting charts

It would seem that when hedgers reduce their positions it signals the end of a correction and the begining of a new move.

The same is true of speculators whether large or small.

Currently both hedgers and speculators are reducing their positions.

Alexander Elder says that hedgers are the smart money today, and by inference speculators whether large or small are today's dumb money.

Also hedgers are almost always short, while speculators are almost always long.

Thus when hedgers are very short it is a bearish sign, but when hedgers are only somewhat short it is a very bullish sign.

When speculators are very long it is a bearish sign, but when speculators are only somewhat long it is a very bullish sign.

Thus today in the EUR/USD speculators are only somewhat long and hedgers are only somewhat short. Thus it is a bullish signal for the EUR/USD.

As long as there is not a reversal of the long-term (i.e. weekly or monthly) trend, which at present is up.

In the charts:

blue line is the hedgers

red line is the small speculators

green line is the large speculators
