NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Forex Market is affected by News both good and bad. It is also affected by a country's announcements such as employment and unemployment datas, GDP, Export Orders, Interest rates, etc.

I would like to know where can I find on the internet, dates and times for such announcements before they are released. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Re: NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

www.fxcm.com Click on calender bottom right of page. It even puts in bold the announcements that are more likely to move the market

Re: NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hi, you can find the weekly schedule of economic announcements about major currencies on the homepage of www.forextradersworld.com, also you can download weekly schedule in PDF format.

Re: NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

I am a technical trader and do not like to try to anticipate or analyze news. I want to avoid trading just before and after the very major, periodic news announcements. Is there a certain time/date of the week for example that the US gives out its economic reports (e.g. every other Friday at 10 AM)? Certainly I do not expect to avoid ALL or even MOST news accouncements which could affect price. But I suspect that there are very few time periods--perhaps four to six times a month--when news announcements come out which might affect certain currency pairs. (In my case, GBPUSD and EURUSD). Anyone have some advice? (Yes I've looked at all the calendars on the internet but haven't found any yet that put the "big" dates in bold)
Thanks
