Ok, this may sound silly but I keep hearing people say they make 10 pips a day or their goal is 100 pips a day or something like that. I am pretty sure I understand the terminology but I want to make sure I got it right.
For example, if I buy a contract of USDJPY at 109.60 and I sell it at 109.70 did I just make 10 pips?

yes if you went long on usd/jpy at 109.60 and closed at 109.70 then you made 10 pips based on mini account (10k lot) thats $1.00 x 10 pips = $10

Its right but when u comparing the money and pips always depends on lots sizes and levarages
