Trying to learn Forex trading

Hi, I am currently completing week 3 of the FXCM course, and I will recommend it, I think it was well worth the money, and I have no complaints so far. Service from FXCM is unbelievable.

Forex Trading is a matter of buy & sell activity with profit as the ultimate goal. Successful trader can come up with many different approach, fundamental, technical, compilation of statistical & math formula or even astronomy. Also with different style, ranging from 'scalper' to "buy & hold trader".

IMHO, psycology as the commonly forgotten factor is equally (if not more) important as our trading approach. It is the magic ingredient that will separate winner from looser in this tough arena.

I got the MTI Forex trading course, it comes in 16 cd but the three days course come in 10 cds, it is so good. I think it is 3800$ I got it from ebay for much less than that. and by the way you buy the course without the workbooks it will save even more and this won't affect your ability to learn and follow the course on CD because every page in the book is just a copy of what is shown on screen.

Hello,
I have come from trading YM, NQ etc..but due to their sloppy chop action the past few months, it has drawn me to stray over to learn about currency futures.

I have a working system i know works in currency futures so im not to interested in taking couses that try teach you how to build systems or sell you systems..I am mearly after all the information i need to know on forex so i can completely understand it before sticking my feet in the water.

Iv looked around at sites..surfed message boards and have yet to find a site with the information im after (most just tend to tell you about order exercution types and the REAL basics of trading anything) not Forex specific.

I am in thailand so geting my hands on english books isnt as easy as walking into bookstore's an asking as anyone who's been to asia knows - So im wondering if anyone can direct me to information/education type websites That are not trying to sell me their product.but just supply the information about forex that i may need/want to know?

Hello, I spent several hours today just surfing forex broker sites and ones iv found in this forum and gathered up "bits and pieces" of information about forex but i am still in search of a full detailed proper explaination type website.

I Stumbled on a few programs/sites that say that i can link the data into metastock but i am dumbfounded as to how..i spent a few hours trying to figure out how to filter it Without messing up my esignal metastock setup that i use for stocks..

I am after Intraday And Daily data (free) just to look over to see how my system would fair, Anyone using metastock know where i can grab the data that i want to try? if so...please god explain how..because i tried tonight with metaquotes or something like that and it didnt go to well..the download links all open up compuer language garbage rather then start downloading.

Hello Master and Guru of Forex:
I have been studying this animals (EUR/USD) the bulls and the bears for over a year now.

I figured out that I have to take time and money to educated myself before entering the arena. Either I do it or eventually the market is going to it from me.

If I try to jump on the band wagon and trying to get lucky, sooner or later my luck is good to run out.

And the animals will devoured me!!!

I take it upon myself like I am doing my PHD thesis.

Well think for a moment, there are about 90% losers and 10% winners. Who would you guess the winners are?
And are they as delicated as you and me are? I say "NO".
They probably are just watching and hanging around during working hours and digging their noses and getting paid from the money of the 90% (yours and mine).

So it must be quite simple to them. So I set out based on this notion. And true enough it not that difficult. I just finished my thesis in May 2004. I have been back testing to see the robust of my system and strategy.

Frankly, Every system and strategy is a good one, you just have to let it mature and understand the link and relationship between the different signals and indicators and the formations.

This month I am testing it out on GBP/USD; USD/CHF and USD/JPY
and even Nikkei 225 and S&P. Astonishing results I must confess.

I do not know how to handle this new found enlightenment, so I come to this forum to seek the Master and Guru advise.

Like a fortune teller, I am not able to tell my own future, BUT about others futures it is right to the dot.

As you know this games TA is but just 15% to my opinion.
Financial and psychological management is the other 85%.
Worst of all I am an impulsive gambler, I am holding my horses and chariots until I find a way to control the animal in me.

I have to take it as another of my thesis. I guess?

I am sure I can still make the same amount of money if I can call trades live to others. I just couldn't imagine how to do it.
Maybe people will view me as a "high tech beggar" in the internet.
