What does MetaStock do...
...that say, VisualTrader...or any "free" platforms, do not?

Hi folks!
I assume that MetaStock and MetaTrader are the same.
It seems like quite a few people are using this and I was wondering why I should pay $1000 for it? Isn't it "just" a trading platform like the others?

I would put your 1000.00 in a mini account before I would spend 1000.00 on a trading platform. Many Forex brokers provide good platforms for free.

That is my point. Why would anyone spend $1000. for something they can get for "free"? What is so special about it?

I will have to take a look at it but with all the free trading platforms I can't see putting up a 1000.00 on a platform unless it trades for me and I don't have to think.

Metastock and MetaTrader are completely different products. They are not related in any way.

The first charting/order entry program the MetaQuotes Software company wrote was MetaQuotes which was styled on MetaStock.

MetaTrader 4 is superior to MS from my point of view as user defaults can be set in many of the tools. Since I can't code I couldn't say which coding language may have advantages over the other.

MS is a standalone program so one's not limited to forex only as with MT — broker dependant.
