You're absolutlely right about doing different things on a demo though. That is the place to try out some goofy stuff and get comfortable with the platform.

If you are looking for a scalping broker it is generally considered your best option both for the tightest spreads (1.5 on euro) and allowing short term trading would be Big O.
Next up would be in....terbankFX wit 2 pips but they do not allow scalping.
It is potentially the most profitable strategy. You are in and out of the trade in matter of minutes or seconds taking few pips, often using many lots at a time.
