Re: Why can't automatic robot trade?

Like traders, most of the auto-trading robots fail hopelesses, due the reason that market doesn't always remain in a single mode, infact, it changes its modes from being trending to rangebound to being choppy.

Most of the trading robots are progammed using conventioal and even custom indicators, but again, indicators which work good in trending market fail in rangebout or choppy market and vice versa for other modes.

Simple trading robots which only on the break of resistance and sell on break through support, also fail because market does perform false breakouts frequently.

Neural Net robots are not magic or panacea under every market condition. These robots are also programmed using a mix of indicators/strategies they differ from other conventional robots only because they have self learning power.

Robots can not perform standalone, it has to operate under the supervision of a master trader and that is how robots are used in big companies.

I guess it depends on the complexity of the strategy, I'm running one that stands alone and isn't touched unless there's a system failure somewhere. The strategy it uses is very simple and keeps it out of a ranging market, so far it's working fine.

Re: Why can't automatic robot trade?

people who develope successful auto-trade or "robots" wont be publicized simply because its a weathy person helping out another one. its not a system that will be publisized.

if you get good at your strategy and learn to program pretty well you could probbobly develope one yourself.

Re: Why can't automatic robot trade?

The same reason we (forex) cant be robots.

When man can deconstruct, parse and input humanity through #'s - Will be the same day man is robot.

What a great question..............
Thanks

Re: Why can't automatic robot trade?

i have an ea i wrote that works good too . one of the advantages of ichimoku is the computer knows where support and resistance is as well as it has clear buy and sell signals among other things.
