Is it worth it??

I am new to trading currencies. Before I begin down this path, I'd like to hear from some experienced / seasoned traders whether or not they found it worth the effort. Does anybody make any real money? What is your return per hours invested ? I.e. if you were to divide your total returns by the numbers of hours devoted, what is your pay rate in $/hr?
Even with demo trading I have felt the addiction, the adrenaline rush and the gut wrenching panic of winning and losing positions. (That alone might make it worth it.) But is this the allure or is there real money to be had? You'd be doing me a great favor and saving me from a huge investment in time, money and effort by convincing me not to pursue this.

Thank you in advance.

dont get into this because you want an adrenaline rush and the panic of winning and losing....go do a skydive or something...

successful trading is actually very boring and the complete opposite of what you would expect from the outset....this may come as a shock to you, but you will be getting into something which will turn out to be very different from what you currently percieve it to be.

if you are serious about trading and want to make serious money you will come to the realisation that you will need to severe your emotions and sacrifice a lot of time and effort and money and be very serious about how you conduct yourself...you will never stop learning....you will have to change/adapt your personality and create a trading persona and build skills to builds skills to succeed. this can take many many years depending on you....dont expect to crack it in a couple of years I would say that this is probably the minimum with a very experience mentor by your side full time.

A lot of the closest people around you will suffer somewhere in the process but the journey will be one of the highest in self discovery and enlightenment.....

and none of this even gaurantees you will succeed, so is it worth it????

>>>well are you willing to do the things i have mentioned???

perhaps someone else can step in and give their advise also.
