It was a very m oving experience and I now appreciate even more what I have. I am in the process of setting up a charity myself. The idea being that the money donated will be invested in an FX fund and the profits used to feed children around the world. If anyone can help with ideas, systems, guidance I would really appreciate it. I will probably start a new thread rather than bog down this one.
Anyway I got back yesterday and am still recovering. I will try to look over all the charts and systems and post updates, this weekend. Sorry for not replying to emails and posts. I will try to get round to replying to all soon.
Take care

Congratulations to you! "Thank you" on behalf of all of us.
I would like to say right here and now, let's help SR2 get this system going and profitable. And let's donate 10% of our net winnings per month using this system to a similar cause that sr2 participated in in the last week.
Welcome back, sr2

Re: Yet another newbie system!
Hi ,
very interesting the SR2 system.
But some things I see are not so developed yet in the strategy. (And may be just not so suitable for me)
-The PSAR as a filter...May be too slow to get in, you loose not 20 , 50 pips to get in but sometimes 50% 70% of the trend.
-He is working with many currencies at same time. If always you have the signal he gets in with 100 hundred pip stop, you have to get a very good capital to start and respect risk and money management. Of course you can limit the number of open trades.
-Fixed Stop 100 pips and Fixed TP 100 pips. This is something must to develop better also.
I dont like so much to work with much different currencies, really I check just eur/usd, cable/usd e usd/chf.
It is very good get the "feeling" of each currency (high volatility, fast movements, slow movements, huge spikes,...). You can do this just watching daily a few currencies. How the signals from the strategy are not so frequently if you limit the number of currencies you have vey few signals to trade.
Anyway...
Now is our work to think and develop the great basic SR2 system to improve it.
SR2 great work you have, congratulations.

Re: Yet another newbie system!
Hi all
Hope the trading is going well.
I managed to get some time to look over the charts at the new system. Here are the results so far for this year:
EURCHF 14/02/2005 08:00 Sell 1.5541 => +100
EURBGP 15/02/2005 20:00 Sell 0.6870 => -100
EURJPY 28/01/2005 12:00 Buy 134.72 => +100
EURJPY 14/02/2005 16:00 Buy 136.34 => +100
EURJPY 10/03/2005 04:00 Buy 139.47 => +100
EURJPY 01/04/2005 00:00 Buy 138.90 => STILL OPEN
EURUSD 17/02/2005 08:00 Buy 1.3040 => +100
USDCAD 19/01/2005 16:00 Buy 1.2252 => +100
USDCHF 02/02/2005 16:00 Buy 1.1888 => +100
USDJPY 07/01/2005 16:00 Buy 104.04 => +100
USDJPY 14/01/2005 16:00 Sell 102.49 => -100
USDJPY 22/03/2005 20:00 Buy 105.05 => +100
GBPJPY 14/20/2005 08:00 Buy 196.66 => +100
GBPUSD 01/01/2005 04:00 Sell 1.9117 => +100
AUDUSD 07/01/2005 16:00 Sell 0.7648 => +100
AUDUSD 26/01/2005 08:00 Buy 0.7662 => +100
AUDUSD 22/03/2005 20:00 Sell 0.7910 => +100
As you can see the results so far this year are very good. The system does not generate a lot of trades so may not suit everybody.
The system has the same SL and TP rules as YANS i.e. 100pips. I know some people have other ideas for TP and SL. I would recommend you experiment and see how it pans out.
The system again uses the same chart setup (4hour, MA, etc.)
Now look at the chart for the entry signal. Please note that this is for a buy signal. The opposite is true for a sell signal.
I will eventually get round to updating the results for YANS. In the meantime please come back with questions and suggestions.
SR2
ps. if someone could write an MT script for this I would appreciate it as I am very curious to know how this would have performed in the past. However, I will forward test as I did with YANS. FYI I did not go live with YANS as I knew I was going to be away for a while so I decided to wait. I will get things together and go from there.

Re: Yet another newbie system!
Thank you to all for the kind words regarding the cycling. I would highly recommend something like this to everyone as it will give you a new perspective on life. I remember handing a pen to one of the children. You should have seen his eyes light up. It was as though xmas, new year and easter had all come at once.
I have emailed a few of the companies which provide FX signals and are honest and profitable in order to get access to signals so that I can start this charity fund. The reason I want to go with one these companies is that they have a proven track record whereas my system does not. As soon as I am confident that my system can produce consistent results I will use that. It will be money for the children so I do not want to lose a penny if I can help it. I know some of the companies out there are very good, some of which I have discussed with tim_nn so lets hope that they can provide signals/information free of charge for the charity fund. I have put some of my own money aside to start this. If you guys can provide any information I would be very grateful. Just like I have given out information on my systems I hope there are people out there who will do the same in order to help out. Even if you do not want to send me information publicly please email me. I promise not to reveal anything you give me. To prove that my intentions are honorable I will be setting up the charity in the next few weeks so people can check up.
Anyway sorry to bore you.
Regards
SR2

I've been continuing my customary research into providers, quite a lot of it by scouring Firedave's excellent fx-review.com website. Personally, I remain convinced that Epiphany Trade is the ultimate and best signalprovider, and I'm _reasonably_ optimistic that they will "play ball" and donate a subscription to their service. They seem extremely nice people, and I'll be disappointed if they won't help out. I will keep you posted, obviously.

Thanks a lot for that Tim. I really appreciate all your help. If you get any information from them please let me know, because the sooner I start the sooner I can help.

Re: Yet another newbie system!
Epiphany Trade are normally very good indeed at responding to enquiries. It was late when I sent them an email, but I'm 90% sure I'll be able to get back to you tomorrow during the day, sr2.

The last I heard, they didn't have a website. They have a very "hands on" manager who likes to keep closely in touch with everyone and get to know people a bit, and he prefers to be able to answer people's questions himself rather than have an "FAQ" or anything.
They are based in the Isle of Man, I think, and they're not licensed or registered trading advisors and they don't advertise or promote their service at all: it just grew gradually out of keeping in touch with managed fund trading clients. So they don't make any "claims" or "guarantees" or even call it a "signal service", it's just an "email subscription service". So I think they don't want a website. The whole thing is very "laid back" and they make absolutely NO attempt to "sell" it to you at all ... you really have to want it for them to do business with you!
I will send you a PM with the manager's email address - no problem.
