Well done...I've replied to your PM.

Also you may want to reduce the time frame to 1hr or 20 mins and ass the SMA..this way you may get more trades for smaller profits instead of reducing down the number of trades...just my opinion...not sure if it will produce anyting but worth a try.

Re: Yet another newbie system!

Hey sr2,

I have been looking at your 'system' and it is almost what I have been employing (demo account) as well

I do have one or two questions for you with your terminology, please forgive me as I am relatively new to trading and am rusty with the lingo.

When you say 10ema are you referring too “Exponential Moving Average” ?

I just figured out my second question as I wrote this so I will stop here.

Thanks

I am going to use the signals to place fixed odds bets on Bet On The Markets, so not to risk my (already minute capital).

Thanks alot I will keep you posted with results.

Hi Stringy12,

A newbie here, I have to say I find it amazing that people who are talking about such things as "backtesting" and writing codes for metatrader, testing ideas etc etc consider themselves newbies! I'd love to know where to start getting some education on these things! I consider myself a true newbie. Several thousand pips down since commencing trading with real cash (not a very comfortable position to be in!) and seeking simply 150 to 200 pips a month for real, becuase I'll be made for life if I can achive this! In pursuit of this target the most advanced that I have become is surfing the web for signal providers, (currently using Rob Bookers) but finding myself getting more and more fascinated by the discussions that go on in these forums. I was particularly interested in your remarks about Netpicks and Prosignal, and wondered if you can share your experiences with me? Further down the line I'd love to make a worhtwhile contribution to the discussions about various individuals systems....at which point I will consider myself to be more experienced than a newbie!

Hope you can help?

Thanks
Ruf

Re: Yet another newbie system!

Hi Wolf,

I have been watching the GBP/JPY since setting up my charts to follw YANS, please can you tell does it look like we might be approaching a trade today according to YANS? We just need the flip of PARSAR sometime over today? Im just trying to establish if I am reading the chart correctly...also at the point I think a trade is on offer would like to know will it be a buy or sell, cos at present I cant see how it can be anything other than a sell (regardless if PARSAR point is above or below sema becuase the basic trend is down (frustrating was in this Sunday for a gain of 140pips+ at one point, came out last night on the whip though!)

Thanks

Ruf

Re: Yet another newbie system!

Hi all,

Is anyone still follwing this thread/trading system? I hope so I was very intersted in the YANS system. I have all my charts set up on my CMC platform....I wondered did anyone see a trade today on the USD/CHF. The parsar flipped over for a single 4hr bar (Todays 8amBar)and back again. Unfortunately becuase the PARSAR POINT fell IN a bar I missed it. What i would really like to know for sure...was that a genuine BUY signal (it would have been a winner buy 50pips+ by now but I missed it.

Id really like to see someone post a few trades on this link as theyve occurred...to make sure Im interpreting the systm correctly (A bit of confusion on occassions)..Im a newbie so would appreciate the help

Thanks

Re: Yet another newbie system!

Hi,

Just to clarify, to increase the number of trades, forget the 15 pip difference rule.

No matter where the psar is? I take it that you don't have to wait for the flip back?

Take the second and third entries? Not sure what this means.

If psar crosses back and then flips again take the trade? Bit confused, can someone please explain.

Thanks
