Hey Attrader. This is your friend Amigo. Coming to you live from NYC at 3:20 am in the morning watching the EUR/USD. Why? Because, this is a 24 hour market and you have to watch this unforgivable beast for opportunities !!! Because, sometimes he giveth and sometimes he taketh away. It's up to you to take advantage of the opportunity. And that's what I'm doing right now, looking for an opportunity !!! I would tell you right now, what I was doing; but that would be telling you what to do. And the last thing, I would want you to do is; follow my lead !!! Trading is a personal adventure that you have to discover for yourself. Someone telling you how to trade, is losing the independence of trading for yourself. Discover for yourself, what works and what doesn't. In the the long run, you would know what works and what doesn't. If you have any question why, it didn't work. Ask the common collective of Moneytec, believe me this Forum will give you many suggestions of how you could of done better. This forum is Trader Friendly !!! Now Attrader, I know this is your first post and I have overwhelm you with this first response. But believe me that was not my intention. Welcome to moneytec and I look forward to your second post. Which should be a post introducing yourself. Trust me I won't be the only one welcoming you !!! I almost forgot to tell you, that being a programer and trading the FX Market has it's advantages. If you become a successfull currency trader being a programer; you can always program a system. Look forward to your introduction and wishing you the best in all your tradinjg endeavors. Your Friend Amigo

Hey Amigo. Your welcoming is very appreciated. I was always fascinated by financial markets since years ago I read Theodore Dreiser "Financier". Different things kept me out of the market, but now I can finally devote enough time to properly study it and apply the knowledge, not to mention having a slightly bigger equity which will help me to deal with the losses that I surely will incur in the beginning. Right now, I am trying to read and analyze as much info as I can find, the next steps will be planning and developing strategies. I find this forum extremely!!! useful and the things that I learned showed me how to avoid some big mistakes. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to add my contributions. Your friend, attrader

Hey Cmctrader, my Aussie friend from Melbourne; this is your American friend Amigo: coming to you live and uncut from NYC at 3:30pm on a gloomy Sunday afternoon. The bright spots for such a gloomy NYC day; Monday is Martin Luther King Day, a National Holiday in the US, and a day off from work. So this gloomy Sunday afternoon has official been transformed again into a bright Saturday afternoon. The highlights of the day is watching the the American football playoffs at 4:00pm between the New England Patroits and the Indianapolis Colts at the Gin Mill. The Gin Mill is a local sports bar with a huge high definition wide-screen TV. Perfect for watching the football playoffs. My friends and I are regulars there during the football season where all the sexy bartenders and bar maids know our name on a first name basis. We will reserve a booth and order some chesse nachos and atomic buffalo wings to get the mouth burning for some ice cold beer. My first beer will be a Fosters in your honor. After the game, head Downtown toward the Village where I will have Dinner with my girl and her friends. I believe we're going to a new Tai restaurant that recently opened and has been getting a good buzz around town. Afterwards we'll bar hoop across town and then head back Uptown for a little romance. Since I have a day off from work; I will stay up for the European session toward the beginning of the NY seesion and see what opportunities await on the major currencies. Didn't mean to bore you with my itineray; just giving you an little idea of life in NYC. The day may be cold and gloomy but the ambiance is always Hot!!! To answer your orginial request; Yes I will be attending the Traders Expo. Looks like a great place to network and meet other traders besides learning and receiving trading techniques. So if you have the time in February; come on down and enjoy the Expo and the city. Wishing you the best in all your trading endeavors Your Friend Amigo Last edited by amigo; 01-16-05 at 05:17 PM.

G'day Amigo, That bar sounds good abd it sounds like NY life is great, but in Australia we dont drink fosters that much, it was drank alot befor the late 90's. In Melbourne we drink VB (aka Victorian Bitter) or Crown larger. I would love to try a few bars around NY and stand behind the glass while the NBC morning news is on lol. The last time I was in the states I stayed at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood and then went to Vegas MGM Grand. Next time I want to go east and see NY and FLA
