Abuse amongst members in forums such as this

Hi everyone

I only recently research for information on Trading Forums wherever I read threads a lot of them have so much abuse reproaches in posted threads.

What are the people who abuse each other filling their minds with?

Do you know that any abuse is a sign of weakness a poor self-image?

Do you know that somebody who feels provoked has a poor self-image?

I do not want to put down anyone but everyone using abuse in this forum should try to find out where all this anger abuse comes . Certainly not just a bad non-profitable trading style.

Anyone wants to share thoughts?

Come to the NYSE floor or Chicago floor See what a bunch of idle traders who have too much testosterone waiting for the 2:00 fed meeting will do to you

Abuse goes on in these forums because of passive-aggressive people who don't have the balls to say things to a person's face.

If these conversations were going on in person I guarantee a lot of the crap that goes on here would not happen. People may still think the rude things that they do but they would definitely not get verbalized like they do here.

The anger comes the individual; the whole world walks all over them the markets to their dog they feel like trolling around on a message board picking cyber-fights makes them a bigger person than they could ever hope to be in real life.

It can never be eliminated...the only way to deal with it is to ignore it if it happens to you. Once the offender sees that nobody pays attention to his dumb ass on the Internet just as they do in real life it loses all its effectiveness for them.

Put it this way I've found this can happen in general in any trading related forum on the Internet. Egos start to grow fights start to break out instead of concentrating on trading the game turns into trample your oponent by hurling as much abuse as you can in a futile attempt at gaining respect.

Some people just need to be told. Not many - but some.

However if someone is going to make a statement then they need to back it up with the reasoning behind it. Remember that 99% of posts are peoples opnions even though most would argue that their opnion is fact alot of the time. Just look at posts regarding training courses brokers etc.

It seems that in these type of forums there are alot of keyboard warriors who like to slam others without explaining why they disagree. Then when asked to explain then they just keep on typing crap. I agree with MyWay think these are just lifes victims where nothing is ever their fault are not happy unless they are taking out their frustrations on others.

Sometimes these people just get annoying but over the years I have also found them to be a good source of amusement. It is sort of like fishing if someone is being a dick then throw out something see if you get a bite then just reel them in. You can almost hear them smashing the keyboard. A word of warning though DON'T make it personal if any sane well grounded person reading it can't see the humor in it then it has gone too far.

Remember not to take anything too seriously

I don't size any traders up

I just look into the archives see what bs they have talked about

You can see immediately who knows their shits who keeps on posting "That is true but I believe you spelled trading wrong Please fix spelling asap!"

Totally agree.
imho the vast majority of people posting on these boards know little or nothing of value about the markets trading in general ad the fx market specifically. There's nothing wrong with that in itself of course - in theory these boards should be a great place to learn. But what I find is that too often experienced members end up being argued with abused by these types of people when they try to help. The result of this is that the experienced successful people move off somewhere else leaving the site to the muppets.

For me personally the debate about 'hedging' (note inverted commas) I was part of (along with Nonpiker others) was the final straw. I have never heard so much uninformed cr*p in my life. those who made an ht attempt to correct the novices were slated. SO I see litle point in devoting too much time to sites like MOneytec Trade2Win these days. I'd rather keep in touch with a few people via PM e-mail. Otherwise life's too short.

Good luck / good trading.

Hey GJ how's it going.

You obviously haven't read the 'brokers close profitable traders down' thread that takes some beating
