Identity Crisis !

Dear All,

I find everyone on this Forum to be Friendly and Good persons ready with advice if they see the need for it. I myself have benefited from this. But there is one problem - no identities except the Login name. Even this many people do without by giving anything that is, no doubt, pleasing to themselves but does not afford the correspondent the pleasure of knowing the other party.
I think - I could be wrong - that everyone joining a Forum does so to find friends ! So to be writing to XYZ's is not exactly like writing or talking to real persons.
I have a suggestion : let the login name be anything the members choose but certain details should be given in the Personal Data. May be not the name and other personal data but AT LEAST the country the member happens to reside in, his profession, degree of interest in trading etc. This gives a sort of background. I do like to give out my opinion when I think that someone is palpably wrong, again with excuses - this in my opinion only not Direction. I have no business directing anyone - if they like they may take the advice or ignore it. It sometimes may just point out a point that has been missed by the author.
But while giving out such opinions, it is nice to know that you are talking to a real person than to just a set of alphabets.
I know everyone has his reasons for privacy but this Forum already permits Private msgs, so, I think there is minimal harm if the members are requested to use not numbers or abstract names for their Login names that are displayed but to use some name.
