Jump to first unread post broken

Would it be possible to fix the Jump to first unread post bitmap that is found beside a thread?

It has been broken for ever, and is beginning to really irk me. It is a key useability feature of a bulletin board, and I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed to date.

For example, clicking on a Jump to first unread post bitmap normally resolves to a URL like:
http://www.moneytec.com/forums/t4057/gnewpost/s.html

When if you open that thread, and click on the Jump to first unread post link at the top of the thread, you get:
http://www.moneytec.com/forums/_showthread/_s-/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4057&goto=newpost

The second URL is correct, while the first one is wrong, and just lets to an error message page.

I'm sure I'm not the only person that would like this to be sorted out.
