What Gives?

Guys,

You know I really enjoy my daily read of all the new posts here in MoneyTec. I have several that I subscribe to, but basically just about read everything available. There is some very good stuff amongst it all, and there is some not so good.

What is really annoying me at the moment, is the several clashes of egos we have on different forums. This is becoming a bit of a pattern where one person has a method or an opinion, and then one other will go out of their way to bring this person down. This then turns ugly and becomes personal.

People are entitled to their opinions - granted. There is nothing wrong with constructive (polite) criticism and I am sure if their method/opinion/system is flawed, it will be there for the whole membership to see.

The beauty of forums like this, it is a place where traders from all over the world can get together and discuss different ideas. This may lead to improving your own methods or helping someone else with theirs. Trading can be a very lonely adventure and very boring at times, so it is good to have decent contact like this with others.

What I am asking is that we respect each others opinions and leave the nastiness out of the mix. I have no problems with critisism, it's just how it is presented that concerns me.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this and good luck to you all with your trading.

Buff and Advisor, I agree totally with both of you.

And as my mother used to say "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything."

You are all correct in your wishes and views.

There are many ways to trade successfully, albeit a lot fewer than the unsuccessfull ways. I have no problem with critiquing the message. But when posters want to attack the messenger instead of critiquing the message, I draw the line and will not tolerate it for one minute. I will bite and do. Da monkey's bite carries the poison of the Monitor Lizard and I make no apologies for it. If someone wants to attack this messenger, they will find much easier pickins someplace else, if they survive the journey.

Have a great trading week to you. I wish you catch many pips no matter the method you employ.

Personally, I'd rather they just fixed the "View New Posts" feature. That would save me more time than weeding through the playground fights....

Meech,

It all works fine for me and there has never been a problem with this feature from my end. I did clear my cookies tonight and when I went into my favourites, I had to log in again to view the new posts feature. Normally this forum is in my favourites where I am automatically logged in every time I select MoneyTec. Hope this makes sense.

Ugh, I was typing faster than I was thinking. I mean't _unread_ posts.

When you click on view new posts, that works fine. Then click on the "View Unread Posts" within the new posts -- that craps out.

Okay I got you Meech, but again I use that feature all the time and it seems to work fine for me. Can't help you with this one. Cheers.
