I read something similar, it wasn't remotely connected with any sort of trading but it made reference to 'left brain' and 'right brain', I can't remember the exact explanation or significance now! (not a lot of good really, dunno why I mentioned it!)

So what was the conclusion as to why the lizard brain did the wrong thing in trading, and how can we fix it?

Re: 99% Winners!!! Wow, what a place!!

I spent all weekend reading the clsed thread. it was alot to read but i finally finished late last nite.

I have been trading since 85 or so and as you might guess, ive been there and done that. Out of all the crap out there, i have always loved and used fibs. So having stumbled onto your thread thru some fx sites, i was very interested. (didnt think that thread would ever end). Ive got some more catch up reading to do of the other threads, including fxsniper's stuff but hopefully, i will be able to support your efforts and no doubt pick up a few pointers as well. I primarily trade the emini but have been toying with the fx thru for the past few weeks.

I have my (emini) charts from this morn and the fibs work like a clock. If its ok, maybe i will post them later this evening.

I really look forward to joining the thread. (and btw, my nick here is not an indication of ethnicity or heritage- its from my grandkids names: MAdison, JAcob, MAtthew and EMma.)

Hi majamaem, anyone who made it to the end of that other thread deserves a medal

Your input would be very welcome, if you get a chance please post your charts!

There's another thread which JohnnyB started, it's mainly about Gartley patterns, interesting stuff.

Cheers

Re: 99% Winners!!! Wow, what a place!!

kool...it worked. (i didnt expect it to so im a bit ahead of myself) let me first say that i am a firm believer in the kiss methods avocated by mick. i dont use any indicators or anything for confirmation, not even an ma. i dont study much anymore and, with the exception of this weekends read of the 87 page thread (wow-took me 3-4 sittings), i havnt been to keen to alot of reading. i typically watch 27, 38, 50, 65, and 80 rt, but the first three are usually "cussers" because i got in...or because i didnt get in. thats why your stuff fit me to a t mick. however, i usually react at 65 and 80 and go from there. sometimes i stop out at 100 and sometimes i reverse at 100...or sometimes i add on at 127; ill show u my reasoning as i go along and like my exwife, you may or may not think it makes sense. hopefully i wont get too long winded and put u to sleep.

today i went long at 17.25 and added some more at 15.50. i covered half the addon at 16.50 and half the orig at 18.25. then, i put my reverse stop in place at 15.00 and put a limit in to buy more at 16.75 (65% off the 19.50h). i was prepared to sell 15 even and take it to the 12.75 and get even, maybe up a little and flat. it bounced off 16.75 a couple of times but no fill. i used the pull back to measure the 1.61 and covered half my leftovers at 1221.00. it was late in the day so when the price went thru the 24 i baled and was flat. what a great day with fibs!

Re: 99% Winners!!! Wow, what a place!!

about mid way thru the day i saw this. is this not a gartley buy? i said i dont use studies or indicators but this really gave me confidence to stay in the long for some reason. i know it sounds goofy, and its amazing to me, but in all these years, elliot wave, market profile, market rythms, etc., i dont have a clue about gartleys or butterflys and all that...simply amazing. i havnt read any of the more current threads and posts but i trust you still try to keep all of this simple huh mick...
