The book must be designed for someone who has never even heard of Forex or "Foreign Exchange" and yet will take the reader by the hand and spoon feed them till they are fairly familiar with the whole forex scenario.
Is there such a book?

Hi Jetheat,
I have been getting Joe Ross's "Manual" by instalments for a couple of months now. I am up to Ch 22. Go to his web page and he will send these regularly to who ever registers via email. The chapters are in pdf format.
I have attached a copy of his "Contents" and I thank Joe here, for his service.
Hope this helps a bit....

Thanks Fairwind.
By the look of the chapters, it seems like he steps into the heart of it pretty quickly.
I need a book which starts of explaining what Forex is and then the other simple basics such as what a pip is and what Eur/USD means etc...
You know, something which would explain it as if it were teaching a schoolkid.
Any ideas?

Yeah, I know what you mean.
The only reference at that level I have seen is on the broker sites. FXCM covers some of the topics you mention albeit briefly. Their stuff can be d/loaded to .pdf or .txt, in 5 pages. As I said, it's brief.
It starts here...

Hi Jetheat,
I have your book (which I think is a great one), so if you decide to write another one for forex introduction, I am sure it will help of a lot of people in the future. I stumbled into realtimeforex.com and they have a free online tutorial under their education tab. It is Ok for starters.

Thanks RedDuke,
I checked out the site you mentioned and it has the same problem as with any other site offering FX education.
They teach you as if you were already a trader.
I was looking for something which takes people by the hand and spoon feeds them the information.
It should explain one step at a time and talk to you as if you were a kid.
I have started to write one of these books and it will offered to the general public. Public who haven't even heard of Forex before. I have dispelled with all the unnecessary information which they don't really NEED to know. I'll try and explain things in a more relaxed style which will make the reader feel at ease with the information and the steep learning curve.
Hopefully, it will be a successful in bringing more traders to out community!

Hello,
A must read is Bird watching in Lion Country...Retail Forex Explained. It is an e book , but it is by far the best book on forex that I have read that teaches a newbie how to be the one out ten that survive this market.
It really teaches you the truth on where the money goes when and how most new forex traders trade.
Hope this helps,
Goldbug
