it's chaos here in London right now, subways are shut, busses have stopped service, emergency services are everywhere........

Mick,

Being on this side rather than your side of the Atlantic, care to elaborate on the minor incident...is it just a power outage, Chirac getting revenge for the Olympic decision, terrorism.....

Re: Anyone got today's (Thursday) low on Cable please?

Cheers psy.

XT, it seems it's a terrorist attack although that hasn't actually been confirmed, perhaps connected to the Olympics decision yesterday? There are fatalities reported but numbers are unclear. I'm listening to local news and it just seems like chaos, no structure or co-ordination of emergency services.

It's now suggested that UK police had prior warning of an attack.......

Londoners were in jubilant mood yesterday after the Olympic decision, and now this today, it's sad.

Take care Mick!

Previously read here: Heatrow airport
(now the site seems down, or there are other problems anyway)

Severe Disruption to London transport - 7 July 2005
Owing to a major incident in central London, public transport across the city has been disrupted. Currently, services on the Tube network, Heathrow Express and Heathrow Connect have been suspended.

Anyone travelling to or from Heathrow Airport today are advised to seek alternative methods of transport, which include:

- Taxi
- National Express are providing additional coach services between Heathrow Airport and Victoria coach station
- 285 bus to and from Fetlham and Heathrow Airport connecting to Waterloo and Clapham Junction mainline

Re: Anyone got today's (Thursday) low on Cable please?

Im glad you and your family are alright mick.
Dont let those beasts bring London down.
If the U.S had killed Osama by now ,the terrorists would be in disarray, they would never have been able to plan an attack like this today.
We have yet to strike at the heart of their network, today proves that.
