Re: Anyone had experience using "The edge Strategy"

I have traded this for a few months now. It has consistently proven to be a robust strategy that works in nearly all market conditions, and on various frames. I also believe that the claims made by the company selling this are completely realistic and achievable. At the end of day, it is only a trading strategy which requires proper learning and implementation to execute successfully. There will always be people who lack the perseverance, or intelligence, to succeed, for example the posters at the beginning of this thread.

I would also add that I found the people at Right Angle Trading to be extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions in relation to the trading strategy. Bearing in mind there are vendors selling simple moving average methods for several times the cost of this, I thought it was excellent value for money.

Good trading!

Re: Anyone had experience using "The edge Strategy"

Do you trade it in a completely systematic, mechanical way...or do you add discretion and other filters?

If the former, I'm impressed. I never could match the trades shown on their site. To me, it looked like the handpicked a large percentage of good trades and conveniently skipped the ones I lost on.

If the latter, then it's possible you could be profitable with a lot of different methods. There are plenty of setups that can work if (1) you're a good, experienced discretionary trader or (2) have a good systematic framework that filters your setups and limits them to very high probability candidates.

Either way, I"m glad you're doing well with it. I never could, but I've moved on to other ideas are working for me now.

Re: Anyone had experience using "The edge Strategy"

I registered on MoneyTec just to reply to this thread. I was doing a search to see how many people are actually making a killing using this and was stunned to see these remarks. Keep in mind I dont want people using the same methods as myself but I definitely felt like something need to be said.

I purchased the edge a month ago and have been trading it very successfully since then. PERIOD.

1. I agree that the ebook is vague. I studied all the charts and comments given on the website though, and learned a lot that way. These charts are only accessable to those who bought the system.

2. I trade the 1 min Russell 2000 emini only.

3. My charts are set up EXACTLY as outlined and I use the same trading platform as she does.

4. I have never talked to Bette on the phone or email. I just do as instructed. When I lose a trade, I go back to the text and the posted charts on the website and see if I did something against what has been said. If it is a mistake, I learn from it and don't make that same mistake again. If it is just a loss then I take it as that and feel good about trading it correctly.

5. My trading experience is minimal. I have taken a course at Pristine (TPM 1) and I traded with 2 experienced Pristine coaches online for 3 months. Although I learned a lot of good charting principles, Pristine's actual plays have nothing to do with The Edge strategy. I have been trading for less than 2 years.

I think the key to the edge is to go with the flow of things and not buck the trend. I stay out of plays that buck the major trends. Maybe this is where my Pristine training comes in in recognizing trends??? If the market is just volitile and whippy, I take all trades. I am very happy with my purchase. I spent thousands of dollars at Pristine and only 300 bucks on this and it paid for itself the first day I actually traded it. Like anything in life it does take practice. I learn something new each and every day because I make a mistake each and every day. Persistance is key. I have yet to perfect the the edge but I am only a month in. It is possible!

With all this said. The Edge is no holy grail. But what is?? Properly applied it works real well. Do any of the people in this thread actually make money using ANY technique? Maybe its not your technique itself but the way in which you apply it. How persistant were you to learn from the losing trades? It could be a lot of other things too ie. FOREX vs. eMinis. But then again she says it works on FOREX too. I dont doubt it.

Good luck.

Part of the learning process does come from books. YOu only move to actual trading when you have learned enough theory to allow you to have a potentialy viable trading system/method.

Rubbish, trading is about making profits. You can make profits with an approach that has fewer winners and losers, its the size of the wins relative to the losers that count.

eg, if your winners are three times larger on average than your losers, then a strike rate of 40% will provide a very nice income.

Re: Anyone had experience using "The edge Strategy"

I have been using The Edge for awhile and love it! You just have to practice alot with it and eventually you will see the set-up without a problem. I like what someone posted about using a filter of macd cross and rsi. It works.
I trade GBP/US 1Hr and i trade on Daily. I do not fear an Edge set-up, but i do fear all others.

As a genuine person simply sharing my experience with others here, I was initially offended by this comment, but after noticing that 5 out of 6 of your less than inspiring postings are negative comments about The Edge trading strategy concluded that your remarks, and yourself, are irrelevant.

I prefer to take more notice of the several other posters who have also had a positive experience with this, and wish them all continued success.
